Amasi Wam Full Cream Cultured Milk Powder

Powdered Cultured Milk (aka. amasi or maas)

Our Amasi Wam comes in a 5 amazing flavours:

This powdered cultured/sour milk product has an exceptionally long shelf life, is easy to transport and is packed with nutritional goodness.

No preservatives, colourants, flavourants, chemical additives; 100% dairy.

Product

Powdered Amasi. 100% full cream dairy product.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Hygiene

Always ensure high standard of cleanliness for utensils, hands and preparation area.

Container

Ensure container can hold 10 litres of water. Allow space for stirring.

Water

Always ensure water is from a clean source. If unsure water must be boiled first and allowed to stand until cooled.

Preperation

1kg makes 10 litres.

  1. Add 10 litres of water
  2. Slowly add powder to water while continuously stirring.
  3. Ensure powder is properly mixed.
  4. Cover product to protect from contamination when mixing is complete.
  5. Allow to cure. Recommened temperature for curing is 26 degrees. In winter no less than 18 hours in summer no less than 16 hours.
  6. After curing, store in refrigerator for later use.
